Preprocessing of Lecture Videos

Since a lecture video is shot in a live classroom or at the studio of distance education centers, its scene complexity and motion are found to be very low, which is already discussed in section 1.4. One may note that there are only a few classes of activities (shots) present - (1) an instructor talking about some subject matter and the camera dwelling on him/her, (2) his/her hand writing on a piece of paper or board, (3) showing electronic slides, (4) video imported from other sources for explanation or demonstration purpose, and (5) the audience (students) asking some doubts occasionally.
