Abstract
Diseases of the hair can include genetic diseases, such as Netherton’s syndrome which is clinically similar in all races, loose anagen syndrome, which is more common in Caucasian girls and traction alopecia, which is seen often in Black and Hispanic children and teenagers due to hair styling induced damage to the hair follicle.
