Abstract

This chapter will provide an overview of the ultrasound equipment required, along with an understanding of its implementation through a systematic approach to tissue scanning technique. The chapter will also highlight ultrasound techniques that can augment the clinical uses of musculoskeletal ultrasound and will review ultrasound imaging of normal tissue as well as common artifacts that may inhibit accurate interpretation.
