Abstract

Computed Tomography(CT) image of the particular slice of the test body is obtained using the discretized version of the Radon transformation. In this chapter, the continuous domain version of the forward and the inverse radon transformation (with the parallel beam and the fan beam projection geometry) are explained. The experiment on the realization of the discretized version of those equations is performed with an example image using MATLAB. Intermediate results (both 2D (image) and 1D signals) of the experiment are plotted for better illustration.
