Abstract

As the old adage goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Given the page limitations of applications and the importance of making it easy for reviewers to understand your ideas, figures can be a powerful approach to transmit information. Again, the emphasis is on clarity and organization. It may take extra work for you to format your figures in a manner that is consistent and appealing to the eye, but in the end that effort pays off if the figures are crystal clear and professional in appearance.
