Lumpectomy for Breast Cancer



Lumpectomy is an integral part of breast-conserving therapy for breast cancer. This chapter describes the technique of lumpectomy, including image-guided lumpectomy. Image-guided (commonly termed needle-localized) biopsy is included in this chapter for convenience. Strategies, pitfalls, and complications are also discussed.
