Operations for Recurrent Inguinal Hernia



This chapter describes common causes of recurrence of groin hernias and their prevention. Techniques for performing open repair of recurrent hernias are then described. See Chap. 103 for laparoscopic techniques. Open preperitoneal repair, a surgical legacy technique, is described here.
