Abstract

Dr. Heberden, remembered by the eponymous name of osteophytic spurs involving the distal interphalangeal joints often seen in patients with degenerative joint disease, lamented the lack of specificity in describing various sorts of musculoskeletal diseases. What would he have thought of aromatase inhibitor-induced arthralgia, statin-associated myalgia, cell phone thumb, and wiiitis?
