Abstract

This chapter attempts to classify the wealth of post-1990 literature, much of it “bridging” the distinctions between theory and application, and also between lab and field studies. Coverage includes not only cooperation, competition, and conflict resolution, but also relevant aspects of collective dilemmas, negotiation, and mediation. Emphasis is given to studies relevant to face-to-face and electronic social interaction.
