Abstract

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects require multibillion-dollar investments and multidisciplined teams of engineers, environmentalists, economists, and others. LNG projects can be divided into five major sections, namely, gas gathering, liquefaction, shipping, vaporization of LNG, and distribution pipeline. Conventionally, U. S. companies are involved in shipping ventures and are owners of receiving terminals and pipeline facilities. Considerations in project planning with emphasis on shipping and receiving is presented here.
