Summary
We are carrying out a programme to identify (from completely objective, machine-produced data) the star clusters of the Magellanic Cloud system. Our technique has been tested in a 6 square degree field near the north-eastern end of the bar of the Large Cloud. We have analysed the properties of the clusters detected and present some of our preliminary findings in this paper. A more detailed analysis is presented elsewhere.
