Abstract

The importance of the Magellanic cloud clusters cannot be overemphasized. At one distance lie a great variety of clusters with ages ranging from the youngest to the oldest found so far in our own Galaxy. At the same time, the relatively large distance to these nearest galaxies creates problems not so often found in investigations in our own Galaxy: this distance makes it difficult to reach to the main sequence of the older clusters, and crowding is severe, especially in globular clusters.
