Abstract
Historically, the association of cervical carcinoma with pregnancy has been the subject of controversy with respect to the growth of the tumor, the prognosis for the patient, and the risk of cancer dissemination accompanying vaginal delivery.1–5 It has been postulated that factors such as the altered hormonal milieu, increased vascularity, and the immunologic tolerance of gestation influence tumor behavior. This chapter reviews methods of diagnosis, treatment options, and the prognosis of cervical carcinoma during pregnancy.
