Abstract
In Chapter 11 it is argued that the central problem for an experimental social psychological science is the alteration of social psychological phenomena in isolative experiments. In particular, it is stressed that the dislocation of behavior from its normal social relational context makes it enormously difficult to reproduce and standardize the participant agent representations that are partially constitutive of actions such as honesty and aggression.
