Abstract
The result of successful socialization is the development of responsibility. Responsibility is a complex virtue with multiple aspects which develop in different ways. Professionals in juvenile justice activities, concerned with promoting successful socialization of children, need to understand the development of responsibility. They need to appreciate how various juvenile justice activities can affect it, and be able to develop programs which will help to foster it.
