Abstract

In this chapter the primary context for the research reported in this book, Camp Wancaooah, is presented in some detail. The camp setting as well as the youths who participated in the project are described, replacing the actual names with fictitious ones based on their final group dominance status.1 What constituted meaningful data, how and when data were collected, and data analysis techniques are also described to provide the reader with a comprehensive view of the research methodology.
