Modal Model Theory
As we saw in the last chapter, one can get pretty far in studying self-reference in arithmetic by purely syntactic means. Unfortunately, syntax tends to be forgettable as well as limited and somewhat involved. Fortunately, there are various semantic interpretations with suggestive terminologies to aid the memory or, at least, rediscovery.
