Abstract
The thigh extends from the hip to the knee (Fig. 711). The spine of the pubis and the anterosuperior iliac spine, with the inguinal ligament stretched between these 2 points, is the dividing line between the thigh and the abdomen. The upper boundary of the thigh posteriorly is the transverse gluteal fold; the lower thigh boundary has been set at a level 3 finger-breadths above the base of the patella.
