Abstract

Biological responses to various agents, including chemical substances such as drugs, are not constant over time but vary rhythmically; in human beings, as well as in experimental animals circadian rhythms of susceptibility have been demonstrated [1–11] and the number of functions showing such rhythms is rapidly increasing as research progresses.
