Crystalline Effects on the Total Thermal Neutron Cross Section of Chromium and Zirconium

Abstract

Total neutron cross section measurements have been carried out for chromium and zirconium at neutron wave lengths from 0.3 Å to 5.5 Å which correspond to neutron energy range l to 0.003 eV The measurements were perfmed using the time-of-flight spectrometer installed in front of one of the horizontal channels of the ET-RR-l reactor.
