Optical Model Studies

  • N. Cindro

Abstract

This paper reviews about 22 contributions loosely classified under the heading optical model studies. The optical mode has nowadays become a kind of technical tool to be used in other calculations. Some of the reviewed contributions, therefore, have only this tiny connection with optical model studies (which, of course, does not reduce their scientific interest). Nevertheless, I have tried to classify them according to their goals rather than to the type of reactions. In this way the contributions to be reviewed here are arranged into three major headings:
  • optical model parameters

  • polarization studies

  • resonances, strength functions, and structure in the cross sections

.
