Breast carcinomas have been studied by several authors for their affinity for 67-Ga. Most studies show a less than 50% detection rate for adenocarcinomas of the breast. Our experience to date with this disease has been even less encouraging as far as detection of the primary lesions is concerned. In addition, normal breasts have, on occasion, been shown to accumulate 67-Ga. Therefore, differentiation of normal breast uptake from that in a breast carcinoma is difficult.
