Abstract

We have previously shown that following the intravenous introduction of lymphocytes into normal adult mice a state of T-cell chimaerism results which is long lasting (l). The experiments presented here investigate the fate of the injected cells during the first day after injection and also the effect of multiple injections of spleen or lymph node cells on the degree of T-cell chimaerism. In addition to estimates of the numbers of T cells in these chimaeras their antibody responses to sheep erythrocytes and mitotic responses to oxazolone have been quantitated.
