Influence of Dislocations on the Kapitza Conductance of Clean Copper Surfaces

Abstract

An experiment is described in which the variation of the Kapitza conductance of copper with the electropolishing depth of the surface is investigated in the temperature range of 1 to 2K. Preliminary results show a dependence and the role of dislocations in the heat transfer mechanism is discussed.
