The Theory and Practice of Action Research in Work Organizations
Most action researchers use concepts that may be traced back to Lewin. Few attempts have been made, however, to outline the similarities and differences among the various approaches to planned organizational change. This is at-tempted here by considering the history of action research, by evolving a definition, and by looking at the elements of theory and practice.
