Abstract

In the ten years since its development, chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CIMS) has undergone remarkable growth to become an important analytical tool for the identification, structural elucidation and quantitation of organic compounds. Its utility in pharmacological and biochemical research has been firmly established over the last few years.
