Abstract
An LKB-2091 mass spectrometer with combined EI/CI source was modified to permit the recording of either cations or anions. For the work in the negative ion mode, the magnetic current, the accelerating voltage and the repeller voltage are reversed. This can be accomplished by changing one single switch.
