  • Chapter
Modification of Polymers

Part of the book series: Polymer Science and Technology ((POLS,volume 21))

Abstract

Soluble as well as cross-linked polymeric reagents have found numerous applications, namely in the field of organic synthesis, metal chelation or pharmacology1. The chemical modification of functional polymers is an important procedure for the preparation of polymeric reagents and has been extensively studied during the last decade.
