Abstract
The four days of the First International Congress on Maternal and Neonatal Health were marked by the delivery of interesting lectures that were followed by lively discussions. As the Congress was concluding, it was felt necessary to determine what actions should be undertaken for reducing maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity. My closing remarks are answers to the two question that were repeatedly raised during the Congress:
-
(a)
What are the projects which are most promising and which should be given high priority in the programs sponsored by IAMANEH and its national sections, as well as those of other government and non-government organizations working in the field of maternal and neonatal health?
-
(b)
What are the strategies for the implementation of these projects to improve maternal and neonatal health?
