Abstract

This contribution to the NATO Advanced Research Institute on Systems Analysis in Urban Policy Making and Planning offers some observations on the use of systems analysis in transportation planning decision-making at the municipal level. Rather than comparing alternative approaches among different municipalities, it discusses the experience of a single medium sized urban area that has achieved a measure of success in the implementation of its transportation objectives.
