Abstract

The Wyville-Thomson Ridge lies at the northern end of the Rockall Trough and separates the latter from the Faeroe-Shetland Channel. The Ridge forms part of a region of complex topography that includes the Faeroe platform and the prominent seamounts and channels lying to the south and southwest of the platform (Figs 1 and 2).
