Abstract
The newly developed technique of transurethral ultrasonography makes it possible to see a cross sectional image of the bladder. This is useful in bladder cancer staging and has some other clinical applications such as in the follow up study of bladder cancer. Observing the bladder wall, accurate diagnostic information of cancer staging can be obtained preoperatively as if we were examining a surgical specimen of the tumor.
