Thermodynamic and Structural Properties of LaNi5−xMnx Compounds and Their Related Hydrides

Abstract

It has been shown from the linear correlation between the hydrides equilibrium pressure and the lattice dimensions of the original alloys, that substituting nickel atoms in LaNi5 compounds by larger atoms leads to more stable hydrides. This is a good way to extend the working temperature range of electrodes (1,2).
