Abstract
Sydnocarb, N-phenylcarbamoyl-3-(ß-phenylisopropyl)-sydnonimine (1) is a new psychostimulator. From earlier examinations it was established (1) that the effect of sydnocarb on the central nervous system, e.g. as compared to that of Amphetamine, develops more gradually, lasts longer and the therapeutic doses do not cause euphoria or locomotor excitation. Studies concerning the pharmacokinetics of sydnocarb in rat have been carried out using sydnocarb labelled with 14C at various positions (2, 3), but no report on metabolic fate of this drug has appeared in literature.
