New Aspects in Electron-Photon Coincidence Experiments

Abstract

Results are given of some recent studies that extend the range of topics that are now investigated using the electron-photon coincidence method. The topics discussed are the use of this method to yield submillivolt electron energy resolution in electron differential cross-section studies for the excitation of the helium 33D state, the extension of angular correlation data to krypton, an atom with which spin-orbit coupling plays a role, and a theoretical approach to coherent excitation of degenerate excited states.
