Fractional Independent Yield of 134I from Photofission of 238U with Neutron Capture γ Rays

Abstract

Fractional independent yields of 134I from photofission of 238U were measured using incident γ beams from the Cr(n,γ), Ni(n,γ) and Fe(n,γ) reactions. A clear energy dependence was observed, and the energy dependence of the most probable charge Zp for the mass chain 134 is discussed.
