Abstract
This paper describes the use of 24 new speakeasy linkules that have been developed to implement the linpack subroutines as commands in speakeasy. Figure 1 provides an overview of the capabilities of these linkules that have been developed to utilize the modular design implicit in linpack and the BLAS. These linkules allow the speakeasy user to factor various classes of matrices and to save substantial time, e.g., by avoiding the calculation of the inverse when it is not explicitly needed. The linkules are also useful in testing the accuracy of intermediate steps in matrix calculation in other programs.
