Abstract

Throughout this volume the contributors have provided a thorough overview of current thinking regarding alcohol abuse prevention. Available techniques and a state-of-the-art summary of policies, programs, and practices have been reviewed. It is apparent that prevention of alcohol problems is in its infancy from both a technological and a methodological standpoint. The information presented in this book, therefore, can serve as an excellent base upon which to build future prevention efforts.
