Typewriters have lots of parts. Electric typewriters have lots and lots. Programmable electronic types? Enough to make a manufacturer rethink his concepts of inventory control and assembly. That’s what happened at Xerox with the introduction of the “Memorywriter.” This new typewriter, produced by the Office Products Division of Xerox in Dallas, is also one of the highest-volume products the company has ever produced.
