Resolution Enhancement of Processed Seismic Data Using Prior Weighting Functions

Abstract

A linear resolution enhancement algorithm is discussed and its effect demonstrated using processed seismic data. The reconstruction is shown to yield results which are data consistent and demonstrate a substantial improvement upon the available vertical resolution when a suitable prior weighting function is given.
