Abstract

The subject of the present paper, although not strictly related with laser application to biomedicine, presents an increasing interest in several areas of medical procedures and in particular for diagnostic or therapy instrumentation. In fact the optical fibers, besides finding application in endoscopy and laser therapy and surgery, are now employed to sensing a number of physiological parameters[1,2,3].
