Abstract

The diverse embryological derivation, the multiple secretory activities of both the cortex and medulla, the different biological behavior of benign or malignant forms and lastly the primitive or metastatic origin make classification of adrenal tumors extremely complex. The most difficult diagnostic and surgical problems are due to the organ’s location which makes a physical approach and normal instrumental or radiological exploration difficult.
