Abstract
The results reached in large preventive studies carried out between 1970–1975 (Physicians of the New Castle upon Thyne region, 1971; Research Committee of the Scotish Society of Physicians 1971, The Coronary Drug Project 1970–1975) placed in the foreground, the real value of the antiarteriosclerotic drugs, profusely utilized during many years, although the conclusions have been able to be discussed, it exists a generalized opinion that present available antiarteriosclerotic drugs are not the more suitable and, consequentty, it is necessary a restatement of the therapeutic chapter on grounds of the new knowledges.
