Abstract

This study about lithium withdrawal is mainly retrospective. The patients studied here stopped lithium for various reasons (physician’s advice, patient’s decision, forgetting to take a supply of lithium on a trip, pregnancy, or intention to become pregnant). Lithium was withdrawn in 15 of these cases for experimental purposes.
