Abstract
Ninety-five patients with cardiogenic brain embolus underwent either early (n=69) or delayed (n=26) anticoagulation (AC). There were two recurrent emboli both in the early AC group. There were no cerebral bleeding complications despite the presence of large cerebral infarcts in 25 of the early AC group patients.
