Abstract

One approach to investigating the relationship between cell lineage, differentiation and cancer of the human breast is to study breast epithelial cells in culture, and to use immunological markers and molecular biology techniques to classify these cells and to follow the biological changes that accompany their interconversion or differentiation and their transformation in vitro.
