Abstract

The breadth and complexity of the CAD domain stands in sharp contrast to the limited domains of previous natural language interfaces. Unlike most previous work on natural language interfaces, in which there could be reasonable hope that a first implementation would be essentially complete, our ambitions prescribe incremental development of Cleopatra. Another consequence of the diversity of the CAD domain is that we cannot predict, a priori, what changes and enhancements future extensions of domain and analysis of “real” use might necessitate.
