Abstract

The most unusual cooling market is agriculture, to which the costs of refrigerative cooling are prohibitive. It is an ideal market for evaporative cooling. The scarcely tapped sales field grows yearly as corporate and contract farming replace family farms. Sales in Illinois may rival those in California. The market will also involve medium and large direct evaporative coolers, the most profitable to both dealers and manufacturers.
