The Thermodynamics Laws from The Law of Stable Equilibrium

  • P. H. Brazier

Synopsis

The First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics and the Two Property Rule are derived from the Law of Stable Equilibrium. The treatment is simpler but not so rigorous as that of Hatsopoulos and Keenan (l) or Haywood (2). It is aimed at thermodynamics courses for engineering undergraduates.
