Abstract
Low energy atom scattering experiments provide a straightforward and sensitive means for investigating intermolecular potentials and the collision dynamics of thermal velocity molecular collisions. Such studies are of basic interest for the theory of the bulk properties of gases, liquids and solids, and, for a detailed understanding of the mechanisms of chemical reactions.
